On September 23, 2009, Zippo Manufacturing Company, U.S.A., announced the appointment of G.D.S., Cape Town, as the official Zippo distributor for South Africa. G.D.S. will serve as Zippo's importer and distributor for South Africa markets, providing both logistical support and sales channel management for Zippo products.

G.D.S. is highly experienced in importation logistics and product distribution for both consumer and business products.

Speaking on behalf of Zippo Manufacturing Company, Mr. Greg Booth, President and CEO, commented, “We are very diligent in selecting our international distributors.
